Windows 98 and Windows NT are not supported by the new ScotiaFX Internet Trading Platform. To use this platform your local PC must have Microsoft Windows 2000 or Windows XP installed.
 Sun JAVA Requirements
The new ScotiaFX Internet Trading platform requires that you have Sun Java 1.5.0_06 installed on your local PC.
Check with your information technology group if you have a department that is responsible for applications on your desktop.
IMPORTANT NOTE: If you upgrade to Sun Java 1.5.0_06 and are currently using a lower version of Java for other applications, you may experience difficulties accessing your other applications.
Browser Requirements
- Internet Explorer: version 6.0 SP1
If you need to upgrade your browser:
Check with your information technology group if you have a department
that is responsible for applications on your desktop.
If you do not have an IT department, you can upgrade your browser
by going to the Microsoft web sites, which have free downloads.
If your current browser is specifically selected for an application,
you may choose not to overwrite it with the upgrade but install
a second browser. You should follow all instructions on these sites
to do the upgrade. We do not take any responsibility for browser
configuration.

- click on Downloads, enter the application name and your operating
system.
A selection of downloads (and download times)
will be presented. Pick the version of the browser you want to download
and follow the instructions provided.
Security
The ScotiaFX trading application runs
on our secure platform. An ID and password are required to open
a trading session and each client is able to specify the access
privileges for each member of their staff. The application uses
at least 128 bit encryption for all data and digital certificates
to authenticate clients.

ScotiaFX is built on a secure web server. If for security
